Five teams means one bye every round. Each team plays four games and rests once. With two courts both games of a round run at once, so the whole event takes five slots. The resting team is a natural choice to referee or keep score.
Using this schedule
- Draw lots for the numbers 1 to 5 so nobody can complain about who they meet first.
- If a team is expected to arrive late, give it the number of the team resting in round 1.
